| Ebervale : between Hazleton and Freeland; more specifically between West Oakdale and Harleigh (Harleysville?). There is a reservoir here. The small Ebervale Breaker located across from the reservoir disappeared in the mid-1990s. |
| Eckley : a historical site between Hazleton and Freeland. Eckley had two previous names in it's long existence. First, Shingletown, long before coal was mined. Later it was called Fillmore, after President James Millard Fillmore. "The Molly Maguires" movie was filmed here. Off Rte 940, bear right at sign instead of going straight into Freeland. |
| Edgewood : not really a patch, but the south end of Schuylkill Haven. On the edge of town (at the edge of the woods), and at the edge of the only coal washery in the area (which was located in the Schuylkill River). |
