Jason Miller Jason Miller may be most famous for his role as Father Damien Karras, the young priest in The Exorcist, but he has done much more as an actor, writer, and director. He wrote the play That Championship Season, winning a Tony Award and NY Drama Critics Circle Award in 1972, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1973. He recently toured performing his own one-man show, and was very active in the University of Scranton's Theatrical Department and at Wilkes University. He was co-artistic director at The Public Theatre in Scranton.
Jason Miller has over 20 acting credits, including the voice of Sarge in Toy Soldiers and a part in the TV movie Rudy. He was born and reared on the edge of Scranton.
He worked as a waiter, truck driver, and welfare investigator before breaking into acting professionally. Jason Miller was married to Linda Gleason (daughter of Jackie) from 1963-1973. Their son is actor Jason Patric. Jason Miller died in May, 2001. He was 62.
